Matthew Pitt is a 21-year-old writer from Dorset, in Southern England. He is currently studying for an MA in Transnational Studies at the University of Southampton, having recently graduated from a Bachelor's degree in French. He works voluntarily for the global student organisation AIESEC, and his interests include world issues, sport, modern languages, music and film.

He recently spent three years writing for the world's largest cricket fansite, www.cricketweb.net, and has now moved on to freelance writing, with the aim of furthering his journalistic experience. He writes on a number of different topics, and hopes that his journalism work will also help him improve his skills as an academic writer.
